TODAY IS MY INSTAGRAM BIRTHDAY!!!!

Hello friends!

Today is a super special day!
It's my First Instagram BIRTHDAY!!!!

On December 3rd of last year I posted my first picture on Instagram and little did I know it would really become so meaningful to me.

Where do I start? Where do I start? Where do I start?

I downloaded the app on Friday and on Monday my rare friend from the money maker place Suzy or as we know her @susq28 mentioned to me all exited that she downloaded this super great app. As we talked I realised we both were talking about Instagram and she became my first follower right there in the hallway. Love you Suz!!!! I'm sooooo thAnkful for this wonderful strengthen friendship.

The first picture and the following one were a tribute to my mother.
It was taken somewhere in the Caribbean on a cruise not long after my mother departed for her eternal voyage.
I needed a voyage myself to try to find some strength from this most difficult part of my life.
As I was laying down at night on the deck I looked up and noticed the full moon with a hallow. This was the second time in my life I observed this phenomenon.
The first time was many years back on the first Christmas Eve after my father past away.
It was a sign to me, a comfort that maman was watching over me..................................

After that the first pictures I posted I"ll be honest: they were  trials for many many many posts.
Since I got a camera phone it was always my camera of choice, so convenient............ not necessarily the best quality at first but the technology got much better. But I kept posting and posting until I really found myself as a photographer............ I'm still searching but I think I'm getting closer,

Now this is the chapter when I talk about what is super important , super essential and super human.
I'm getting a bit emotional now....................................................................................
Give me a minute.......................................................................................................................

Alright I'm back.........................................................................................................................

Instagram became very important for me as an artist, it has been the best platform to show and share my work with the world which I never imagine would be possible in particular at this large scale.
Being able to show My creativity. My vision. Me.
And it became very important to me to see the work of others people. People like me.
I do believe that every  photographer is showing a little bit of him/herself with each photograph. It can be very blunt or very subtle,  it can be a puzzle.......... but it is there........... I know I'm doing it..........

Since a year I have chatted, encountered , crossed, met, liked, commented, been liked, been commented, been filmed, been documented, interviewed,   by so many amazing people that I can not start a list.
We all have something in common: the love for photography.
I have never seen such a tight community. Everyone I have the pleasure to meet or dialogue one way or an other are such great individuals that I  feel I found the best place on earth.
Every time there is an Instatmeet I want to go, and if I can't make it I kind of get mad. I love to be around all of you guys. It feels warm.
I got so many more friends and many many more great peeps I want and will meet.

Thank you Brian Difeo for what all that you do so well for this community in New York City. You are awesome.

Thank you for my Love one and my Loved ones that walk with me thru the city and think I'm crazy. Thank you for your Patience and understanding  (or not) about  me being a maniac and shooting everything all the time everywhere I go with my I-Phone.
THIS IS MY PASSION.......................... not obsession............ MY PASSION!!!!!

Well my friends I will leave you with some of my personal favorite shots in no particular order.

THE NEW YORK SUBWAY WE LOVE TO HATE......

Hello friends!!!

I'm baaaaack!!!!!
I know it's been a while since I posted anything on the blog, but I'm putting an end to the waiting.
Even if the money maker has been in the way, I certainly never stop shooting and posting on Instagram........ you know that!!!!!

So as you have read the title, this is going to be all about the fantastic NEW YORK CITY SUBWAY that we love to hate!!!!

So much to talk about.
For you New Yorkers mostly and visitors, you know a lot about it. And for you who dream to step foot in this amazing city I am about to tell you more and certainly show you more.

THE SUBWAY and its infrastructure............. well lets be honest........... it's nasty!
Works 24 hours (a major perck!).
But once you forget about the rats and all, and you open your eyes and look at it in a different light.
IT does have its charm.
What is more beautiful than a ceiling that is about to fell on you.
The falling tiles in the stations that create unexpected artwork.................... look closely you might see faces in it............
A splash of paint that has been there for ever and gets better looking every time I see it.

Of course you have the trains and the tracks that lead you home or else where you wish to go in the boroughs............ many great infinity shots in so many places..........

THE SUBWAY and its people................ well that is a feast to the eyes............ an amazing blend of characters that makes New York. They are all in the cars and It changes by the hour. They are different, they always do strange things............... like we say: "only in new York"
I don't see anything in the morning, I don't see them, and no one.
\I have my headphones on and super isolated. What I do: I go thru my photos and edit during my commute. I f you see me............. act like you don't. Unless you approach me with a coffee and a chocolate croissant............. Then we can talk...............

SIMPLY AUTUMN

Of course the pumkins!!!!!!

Hello Friends,

Autumn..........................
Lots to talked about, lots to show.............

Central Park is for New Yorkers the place to be in touch with nature and its rhythm

I really like the rythm of the seasons:

Spring being my favorite by far just like my mother used to. It's the renew, the rebirth.
Summer is just fantastic: the sun, the heat. It's the freedom, the playfullness.
Winter is just when you take the time to be cozy waiting for spring. It's the pleasure of the snow and the indoors.
And of course there is Autumn................. Quite a bunch of mixed feelings for me.

I love the change in nature, a step of transformation towards hibernation.
Its beautiful colors which are perfect for good photography.
The delicious warm dishes (I've been cooking like a storm!!!)
The fashion!!!!! Yes!!!! The fashion!!!! This is really when I go all out with fantastic fabrics, textures, layers, knits and not forgetting the super essential accessories.............

But yet again all this is a facade of contentment from what Fall really brings to me emotionnaly.
I get overwhelmed with sadness and melancholia.
As you know November 1st is Saints Day. It is also for me the time when I lost my Dear parents 2 days and some years apart. Needless to say I am an emotional mess.

I was home last year and this is when I took these pictures bellow.
This place is so much to me. This is my Secret Garden. This is where I go to resource myself away from the chaos of my New York life. Miles away and worlds apart.
No phone,(only a few know how to get in touch with me), certainly no internet.
It's very important for me to be disconnected with my life and be fully attentioned and in touch with my emotions, my childhood, my family and friends that I cherish.

I used to hang out there all the time growing up, from childhood to teen age. And often when I come back my friends and I still go there for a long chat....

I was baptised here, I did my communion here, I was an alter boy here untill I was 15, my brothers married here and many more occasions happened in this Church.

La route de la Vielle Tuillerie. They used to make bricks and tiles long time ago
